Community - DIAD Application

The Junior League of Sarasota partners with local nonprofits to provide volunteers for projects that can be completed in one day or one meeting. Our goal is to offer hands-on volunteer opportunities to our members while providing local nonprofit agencies with trained, enthusiastic volunteers for immediate community impact.

DEADLINE: ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY MIDNIGHT ON AUGUST 1ST, 2025.

DONE IN A DAY (DIAD) PROJECT GUIDELINES

Can be accomplished in 1 day (2-6 hour time frame).
Hands-on project where JLS volunteers can actively participate.
Require a minimum of 4 volunteers.
Must be completed sometime between October - April (typically weekends).
Project budget $0-$1,000. Funds allotted from JLS are solely for project supplies.

DONE IN A MEETING (DIAM) PROJECT GUIDELINES

Can be accomplished by many volunteers within 10-30 minutes.
Projects may involve donating supplies, assembling kits, writing cards, and/or sorting items for your organization.
Project budget $0-$100 (with potential for additional supply drive donations). Funds allotted from JLS are solely for project supplies.

REQUIREMENTS

Project must be completed between October ‘25 - April ‘26 in Sarasota-Manatee.
The applicant must be a 501(c)(3) Florida not-for-profit corporation, organization or agency operating exclusively for charitable, education or scientific purposes.
Project should align with the Junior League of Sarasota’s Mission.
If funds are awarded to execute the project (up to $1,000) they may only be used towards project supplies.
Upload a copy of your organization's 501(c)(3) IRS Determination Letter by the deadline to be considered.
Upload a project budget by the deadline to be considered. Include all revenues and expenses, including any additional funders, amounts and status of funding.

EXCLUSIONS

The following will NOT be considered for a DIAD or DIAM: Fundraising drives or related events, capital campaigns, political groups/candidates, sectarian/religious activities, or scholarship funds.
