Congratulations on taking the first step toward joining the Junior League of Memphis (JLM)! We welcome all women committed to voluntarism, developing as leaders, and improving our community.

The Application
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all of our members. Our application is designed to learn more about you so we can deliver the best member experience.
All notifications regarding your membership will be sent to the email included in your application. Please list the most accurate contact information.

Application Process
You must complete all relevant sections of our online application. Due at the time of submitting your application are:
- A non-refundable Provisional course fee of $75 and the $190 Provisional dues must be paid. The total will be $265

A letter of recommendation from an employer, college or university, family member, or friend -OR- a current JLM member’s membership number. This means this woman is acting as your sponsor in the organization. The member (active or sustaining) must be in good standing.
Note: Letters of recommendation must be on letterhead, signed, dated, and written expressly to the Junior League of Memphis with the submitter’s contact information.
After filling out the information below, you will press “Submit” and be routed to the page to pay your provisional fees. Upon submitting your application and paying the applicable fees, the Junior League of Memphis Recruitment Chair will notify each candidate to confirm if she has met the eligibility requirements and is accepted into the organization. The next step will be to complete the background screening.
Acknowledgment of JLM Background Screening
The Junior League of Memphis’s community programs focus on neighborhood revitalization and include education, family strengthening, and community pride. Many of our community partners require that a criminal background check be completed before a member can work with the children being served. All members, regardless of where they serve within the JLM, must complete a background check.
You will receive a notification email with a link to complete a background screening, upon being accepted to join the Junior League of Memphis.
The pricing for background screening begins at $32. Background checks should be submitted within seven days of receiving the completion email.
We do not accept background checks outside the Junior League of Memphis.
