The purpose of the Community Assistance Grant is the distribution of monetary funds to not-for-profit agencies in Crosby, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, and Terry counties. In the spring of each year, up to $5,000 may be awarded to not-for-profit agencies that have previously incurred expenses between October 4, 2025 and March 6, 2026. Monies awarded shall be determined by the Junior League of Lubbock's Community Impact Council and the Executive Board of Directors.

Applications for the spring cycle must be received by March 6, 2026. The spring Community Assistance Grant monies will be awarded in April.

Your application information will be collected online. Please be aware that you will be asked to upload certain documents before submitting your application. You will not have the opportunity to save and return to the application at a later time. It is important that you have all required documents readily available before you begin the application.

The following documents are required as part of your application. Failure to submit a required document or submitting invoices instead of receipts will make your application ineligible.

1. Statement of Purpose
2. List of your Board of Directors and its committees
3. Current and prior year's budget
4. Most recent year-end and most recent financial statement
5. Most recent IRS Form 990
6. A copy of your 501(c)(3) IRS Authorization Permit
7. Receipts for expenses incurred which this Community Assistance Grant will reimburse

The Junior League of Lubbock, Inc. is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. 

The purpose of the Community Assistance Grant is the distribution of funds to not-for-profit agencies to address short term and/or emergency needs of tax-exempt agencies. Below are the application instructions and criteria:

1. A written application must be submitted through this online form.
2. Proof of one of the following must be submitted:
   1. 501(c)(3) IRS status
   2. Application for 501(c)(3) status
   3. Umbrella 501(c)(3) status, or
   4. Governmental entity status.
3. There is no minimum or maximum request. However, the average amount awarded to an agency is approximately $1,500. Please note that the JLL has the discretion to award partial amounts requested.
4. No organization will be considered for funding if Community Assistance Grant funds were awarded during the previous award cycle (fall and spring) prior to the submission deadline.
5. Agencies must have a local community-based board.
6. Requests should not require direct participation from the JLL members.
7. Requests must be consistent with the purpose and community interests of the JLL.
8. Applicants shall supply receipts of the expenses for which they are seeking reimbursement along with their application for the grant. Invoices for services are not acceptable documentation.
9. Appropriate requests for grant monies may be used for any one or more of the following:
   1. Programs to promote voluntarism
   2. Training or education with associated travel expenses
   3. Equipment
   4. Additional funding for a former JLL project
   5. Capital improvements
   6. Unforeseen budgetary expenses
10. Emergency needs shall receive priority attention.
11. Requests shall not be considered for the following:
    1. Fundraising drives
    2. Capital campaigns
    3. Political campaigns
    4. Religious projects
    5. Individuals
