Mission

The Junior League of Salt Lake City is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action, education, and the leadership of trained volunteers.

Vision

The JLSLC identifies needs and creates positive change for all women, children, and families through collaborative programs and effective advocacy by providing time, money, volunteers, and leadership for our community — a legacy of women making a difference.

 

New Member Spring Cohort Dates

 

Applications Open: April 1–May 15 2026
Acceptance Notifications: End of May 2026
Orientation & Welcome: June 2, 2026

Monthly Cohort Meetings (New Member Meetings): 1st Tuesday of the Month.

Cohort Programming: June 2026 – May 2027

  • June 19 & 20: CARE Fair 
  • August 2026: New Member Project Workshop + Active & New Member Mixer
  • September 2026: Community Impact & Partnerships
  • October/November 2026: Leadership & Mentorship
  • December 2026: Annual Dinner
  • January 2027: Fundraising & Development
  • February 2027: League Operations, Leadership
  • April 2027: Placement Day

New Member Project Showcase: May 2027
End-of-Year Celebration / Transition to Active: May 2027

Membership Requirements Overview

New Member Responsibilities (2026-2027)

  • Pay New Member dues for the Spring term ($235, includes $100 donation)
  • Attend eight (8) out of the (10) New Member Cohort Meetings unless cleared by the New Member Director
  • Particpate in the New Member Project
  • Attend five (5) General Membership Meetings
  • Participate in the JLSLC Care Fair (Required)
  • Complete two (2) Women Helping Women Shifts
  • Attend Annual Dinner
  • Attend one (1) March event
  • Attend Fall Forum

Active Member Responsibilities (Good Standing)

  • Pay annual dues of $153
  • Attend at least five (6) General Membership Meetings (GMMs) or communicate excused absence to Membership VP.
  • Attend regular committee and/or council meetings
  • Fulfill committee placement as assigned
  • Complete 5 hours (or $250 equivalent) of fundraising shifts
  • Complete 6 hours of project shifts
  • Complete an additional 2 hours on either a fundraising project or other approved shift
  • Attend one (1) Fall Forum Meeting and one (1) March Member event
  • Participate in a placement interview with a Placement Advocate

Dues

Summer 2026 New Member Dues: $235 (includes a $100 donation)
Due Date: June 1, 2026

Active Member Annual Dues: $153
Due Date: March 31, 2027 (for the 2027–2028 League Year)
