Mission Statement:

The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana is an organization of women whose Mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Diversity and Inclusion Statement:

The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana welcomes all who identify as women that value our Mission. We are committed to fostering and supporting inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations, and communities.

I am looking forward to the coming year with the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana, and continuing to join our members in enhancing the well-being of our community. With my membership, I commit to:

• Junior League of Champaign-Urbana’s Mission Statement.
• Junior League of Champaign-Urbana’s Diversity and Inclusion Statement.
• Willingly sharing my time and talents for the League’s work.
• Actively participate in carrying out League’s strategic and annual plan.
• Contributing to and/or utilizing learning opportunities made available by the League to complete my work to the best of my ability, as well as to enhance my community and civic leadership skills.
• Staying informed of the League’s work and remaining connected with the League throughout the year.
• Paying my membership dues according to the schedule outlined in League’s Operating Procedures.
• Attend as many General Membership Meetings as possible September-May and will communicate with my advisor if I find I am unable to attend any meetings.
• Attend as many New Member Meetings (if applicable) as possible September-May and will communicate with my advisor if I will miss more than two (2) meetings during the years.
• Participate in New Member Project during Fall/Spring (if applicable).
• Work as an effective committee member, per the placement requirements, by attending as many committee meetings as possible and completing my tasks in a timely manner.
• Contribute volunteer hours to JLCU and partner organizations.

During the upcoming year I understand my advisor will:

• Serve as a sounding board for any concerns or ideas and all conversations will remain confidential.
• Keep me updated on all League activities.
• Keep all of my records updated.
• Keep me informed about the Nominating and Placement process.
• Do all they can to make the Nominating and Placement process as objective as possible.

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby authorize The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana, its successors and assigns to:

a) Use photographs of me for advertising, publicity, commercial or other business purposes, and

b) Use my name in captions, articles, and other references to the photographs described in paragraph a).

I understand that the term “photograph” as used herein encompasses still photographs, motion picture footage, electronic media and all images derived from such still photographs, motion picture footage and/or electronic media.

I further consent to the publication, reproduction and use of said photographs by The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana, its successors, assigns and agents.

Further, I understand that others, with or without the consent of The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana may use and/or reproduce such photographs. I hereby release The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana, and any entities associated or affiliated with it, their directors, officers, agents, employees and customers, and appointed advertising agents, their directors, officers, agents and employees from all claims of every kind on account of such use.
