Little Black Dress Initiative 2023

1 in 3 Women and 1 in 4 Men have experienced Domestic Violence (DV) by an intimate partner. 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year and that 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence. The Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) is a week-long awareness and fundraising campaign that harnesses the power of social media to illustrate the restrictions poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources. Advocates wear one black dress (or outfit) for five consecutive days, in an effort to spark conversations and awareness about poverty and related issues.
