Personal Information


New Member Requirements

  1. Foundations Classes
    1. Attend a minimum of three (3) Foundations Classes, including a combination of the following:
      1. Attend a minimum of one (1) League History and Focus Class
      2. Attend a minimum of one (1) League Structure and Leadership Skills Class
      3. Attend a minimum of one (1) Council/Committee Fair and Non-Profit Training Class
  2. Service Learning Opportunities
    1. Attend a minimum of two (2) Service Learning Opportunities. These include the following:
      1. In-Person Volunteer Event
      2. Fundraising Shift
  3. All League Participation
    1. Attend a minimum of three (3) All League Participation Sessions. These include the following:
      1. General Membership Meetings (GMMs)
      2. Empower Conference
      3. Ignite Networking Event
      4. Kickoff Party
      5. Holiday Party
  4. Council Meetings
    1. Once placed on a council, attend a minimum of three (3) Council Meetings/Events
      1. Ask your Council VP for clarification on whether or not an event qualifies to meet this requirement
  5. Dues
    1. Ensure your balance shows as $0.00 in our member portal for your Dues Payment. Reach out to treasurer@jlabq.org with any additional questions regarding Dues.

Applicant's Statement of Commitment

By checking the box below, I understand that the Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA) requires New Members to attend the New Member Orientation and meetings as scheduled, fulfill the volunteer requirements, and meet all financial obligations (see Requirements above). After reviewing and considering the information provided, I feel that I understand the requirements of the New Member Program and the time and resource commitments of Active Membership. Upon completion of my New Member year I intend to become an Active Member of the Junior League of Albuquerque.
