Board Application for New Diaper Bank

To complete the application, having the following information available will be beneficial:

1. Previous experience, including nonprofit volunteering and employment history;

2. Names and contact information for two references; and,

3. A volunteer and/or professional résumé, if applicable.

Please ensure that you complete the application in one session. You may preview the questions and prepare your answers beforehand.

Board Expectations:

  • Passion or Interest:
    • A fervent commitment to addressing diaper need and breaking the cycle of poverty.
    • A keen eagerness to contribute to the establishment of a new nonprofit organization.
  • Time Commitment: 2-3 year staggered Board service terms. 
    • This working board is dedicated to the successful launch of a new nonprofit. Board members will play a pivotal role in making critical decisions that will impact the organization's long-term success. Generosity of time and expertise is expected from board members, especially considering the absence of paid staff at the outset. While supported by The Junior League of Tampa, the new board will largely chart its own course forward. Determining precise time commitments and expectations may prove challenging at this stage.
  • Committee Service
    • In addition to at least monthly Board meetings, Board members are expected to serve on a smaller committee to engage in the work of the organization. The Board will determine which committees to develop and will divide tasks.
  • Annual Financial Commitment: Minimum of $3,000 (Give or Get by the completion of term)
  • Required if Selected:
    • Sign Confidentiality Agreement & Conflict of Interest Agreement
    • Background Check
  • Highly Recommend:
    • Availability to Attend the National Diaper Bank Network Conference (Oct. 2024).
