Membership Requirements

A New Member is asked to: 

  • Attend 4 New Member Meetings - 1/month
  • Attend 4 General Membership Meetings 
  • Serve 10 Volunteer Hours
  • Raise $150 Fundraising Dollars

 An Active Junior League Member is asked to: 

  • Attend 4 General Membership Meetings
  • Attend 1 Council or Committee Meeting - 1/month
  • Serve 10 Volunteer Hours
  • Raise $150 Fundraising Dollars
  • Pay Dues by March 1st

Dues Requirements

Dues are required to be paid prior to acceptance into the New Member class. Fall New Member dues are $250. If a new member withdraws after October 1st or fails to meet course requirements, the fee will not be refunded. 

Acknowledgement

I accept membership in the Junior League of Birmingham, MI, Inc. (JLB) and understand that the Membership Development Committee will recommend my acceptance as an active member to the JLB Board of Directors upon completion of the provisional new member course requirements.

I understand that submission of this form, its subsequent acceptance, and payment of the New Member dues grants me provisional membership in the Junior League of Birmingham, MI, Inc. (JLB). I acknowledge that I must complete the New Member course requirements to be recommended for acceptance as an active member of the JLB to the Board of Directors.
